Okay, So Im back from vacation, and IM working on a siggie for Boogie.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Was supposedly going to be a Mage, creating something out of nothing, with lots of magic swirls and stuff, with as background, A huge dragon, partly shown, with an elf laying against his tail..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well now, the background isnt really working, I can't really fit it on.. I can't really recall how I envisioned it when I thought of the idea..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But oh well..

The blue swirls are obviously the start of all the swirly glowing stuff ;)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Going for a nice atmosphere, light coming mainly from the swirls etc..

Not much to say on early wips but what I can say is very nice linework and concept so far, I can see that this will be another sucessful pixel sig so gl :) . One question though, have you always done that style? cus I dun think ive even seen a character like that from you before :? very nice though, the clothing is lookin to be very nice and I especially like how you've drawn the hands. I see an animation coming, or would that be too hard? :? just would look boss to have just the blue wavey swirls move, very magical :o .

Nah, not really animating this..

 

 

 

If I animate, I want to do it big.. Like full movement stuff :P

You're right, this isnt my usual style.. I tried to go for a bit more close-up, and more detailed..

His hands seem bent in awkward positions.

 

 

 

The left side of his head sticks out too far, it should be less visible because of the way he's facing.

but the main problem to me is his upper arm... it sticks out like its not supossed to like its "uit de kom" didnt really know how to say that in english .. first time for me, tho DH will understand it.

ah well, another work of dh, however i already told him it was a really nice start in our clan ^^

I worked on the big pillar a bit, to show what everythings going to look like..

 

 

 

Going for alot of steel rusty pins and horns, engravings, some torches, and sort of 'stone-tatoos'..

i think u need to make the eyes bigger...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

with that size of body you would expect so...

Eyes are only temp..Should have mentioned that..

 

 

 

I always wait with doing the eyes untill I start shading and stuff..

also the right hands thumb = massive need to shorten it maby.. and make it broader. lol

Seriously though, thats looking pretty good. Shade the character and I'll give you some crits, theres too much in it right now thats probably variable.
