Good progress?

I'd recommend using an accumulator. It'll pick up your bolts for you at Fire Giants/Mountain Trolls. Generally, you do not want to leave your safespot, since it slows down your xp (cannon can't hit all the giants anymore). If you get a good drop, yes, go and get it. But if you have no intention of training summoning, just leave the charms. I would only pick up drops worth over 3k.

For ammo, I recommend using broad bolts if you have the slayer level, and a Bone Crossbow/Zanik's Crossbow with Bone Bolts if you do not. If you lack that quest as well, take mithril bolts.

They do drop mainly golds, but if I was in your position I would leave um.

I'm not sure which is better xp. That's something you will need to test. But Mountain Trolls I'm talking about are in the Mountain Camp by the Trollhiem Mountain. That means you'll need to at least start Troll Stronghold, and optimally have Eadgar's Ruse done (for the teleport closeby).

Trolls are more consistent in their drops, but their drops are also worth less. I'd try both out and compare results.

getting an accumulator gives prayer exp. you dont need a quest for bone crossbow. iv done troll stronghold but avis are realy annouying at low stats. my longtermish goal is 99 summoning.

Ok then don'tget accumulator, I didn't notice that, sorry.

You DO need a quest for bone crossbow, Death to the Dorgshuun.

By all means, it's not the only place. Mountain trolls, as I've said, are good. You can try dagannoths or kalphite if you're a little daring. You can also try black demons in a safespot as well. But the three I've told you are the best xp, with the exception of Yaks, which is better, but have no drops. You should still consider it though.

Dagannoths in waterbirth cuase they seem like it could make money not sure if its multi tho how much exp could it give me if it isn't and in the lighthouse it seems like that have almost no drops but seeds. Kalphites didn't seem to drop them when i fought them before and there only good for blue charms. Black demons seem only good for charms to. And i havn't done the quests for yaks and they seem to be very crowded how are they on german/french worlds?

edit- i was at firegiants and i lost some cash i think it was cuase the cannon didn't kill some of them or those stupid rats with 2 hp got in the way or just horrible drops.

1) Do not except to profit or cover your costs if you cannon, except if you go to Ice trolls where you will profit something like 50k-100k-150k per hour.

2) If you position the cannon 2 squares or so south of the dining table, you should only be hitting 1 rat, and be hitting 4-5 giants.

3) Yaks are crowded. But remember you have the cannon on your side. That means in a few minutes you'll clear the place out and have it all to yourself.

Would fighting dagganoths in waterbirth with a cannon be a good idea is it multi? how hard do they hit?

It is multi. They hit pretty hard, but only because they attack in groups of like 15. Max is a 7, I think.

Dags in Waterbirth use both range and melee i believe, so you have to pray one protection and have good defence against the other. There are better places to cannon though.

But let me say this: If your're willing to put money down for cannonballs and a cannon, why not just buy some chins and go chinning your exp?

He's a pure and has stated he does not want to raise prayer. Therefore praying at dags and chins are both not possible.

I'd still recommend against Dagannoths if you're a pure. You'll get hit pretty badly, but I guess it's worth a shot.

Well i have 70 def and i might want to get 70 att and 70 str then i could raise def higher with whip w/rune def and guthans spear and cannoning dagganoths wouldn't that get alot of crimsons and maybe some money cause from what iv seen they drop perty good things.

edit- the dagganoths in the first place in waterbirth its nonmulti and there seems to be safespots

Could try slayer so you can use broad bolts once you hit 55 slayer. I just used Rune weapons so idk much about the Brine Sabre.

You're at the wrong location. Go to those under the Lighthouse for faster xp, multi, and better drops.

I didn't realize you were 70 def. In that case, you should be fine.

The biggest question is whether or not you ENJOY killing Tzharrs.

I love range but it is one of the most boring skills to train. I used to enjoy cannoning everything but I made up the last few levels using Soul Wars.

If you love the obby drops and the *crunch* sound from hitting a Tzharr, do that. If you like *woosh* sound from hitting Yaks, do that.

You will find training to go by quickly if you enjoy what you do.
