I thought earths came before fires?

Well if not, the above is a good plan.

If earths come before fires, rc those and forget fires altogether.

Don't ever to tiaras, not nearly as good xp as you'd think.

Ah. Right, you'd lose less money doing fires than single earths, he's right. But earths are still superior xp. It's your call if you want a tiny bit more xp or a tiny bit more cost.

If you mean to buy tinderboxes, tan, or something else for MONEY, then yes, those methods are better than RC. RC makes virtually no money in f2p, with a profit/hour of like 10k tbh.

Do you know if either tinderboxes or tanning normal leather is better?

Tanning is definitely the better of the 2.

Don't ever to tiaras, not nearly as good xp as you'd think.

No, actually body tiaras are still pretty fast. Here's my method:

1) Right-click the TIARA (not the talisman!) and use it on the altar. If you left-click the talisman, it'll just show a menu saying "Tiara or Staff?". There is no Make-X option on this, so left-clicking the talisman is a lot slower. This is a common mistake for tiara crafters.

2) Do this as fast as you can. Which means: after the tiara is crafted, IMMEDIATELY use another tiara on the altar. This requires a LOT of clicking, so you need to practice this a bit.

3) Bank at the nearest bank and repeat.

For body tiaras, one tiara is 37.5 xp. You will carry 14 talismans and 14 tiaras.

One inventory = 37.5 X 14 = 525 xp

Compare it to body runes.

One inventory = 7.5 X 28 = 210 xp

Keep in mind this method is quite costly, and the tiaras don't sell, so you might want to stick with Airs, Earths, or Fires for the time being. (Like what the above posters said)

It'll usually be about 2x the experience rate (Tiaras are 5x the exp of the rune type, but you can only carry half as many, and you have to use them on the altar).

Why would you use body tiaras? They're about double the cost of air talismans.. =/

And I can vouch that air tiaras do sell, albeit very slowly. I sold 1.4k of them over about two months on my pure.

Does anybody have the exp/hour figures for air/earth/fire runes? Would be nice to know.

I got 50 rc on airs, and should probably use the fastest method for the next 30k ess to 60

You don't get it. It's not bad xp because the tiaras are bad xp. It's bad xp because you'll never get enough talismans to do any form of long-term crafting.
