Just because it's not as active as General Discussion does not mean that people are allowed to ignore the rules and post their threads wherever they want, in an attempt to gain as much traffic as possible. People would probably complain if General Discussion became filled with threads advertising events. Especially if it wasn't something as grand as a 29 million drop party.
