Another Aviansie Tanking Setup Thread

Blessed Hide has dropped to a relatively low point and I want to capitalize on this time to buy some suitable gear to go hunting aviansies. I haven't ever gone before, so I'd like to know what to bring.

Stats:

73 Def

77 Hp

79 Ranged

I have B2P unlocked and I intend to just bring a mudstaff to save money (The tabs would take an extra space anyway as I'd already have nats to alch)

I'm currently thinking of bringing:

Rune C'bow + Broads

Excalibur

Granite Shield

I'm working on DT for RFD, but I plan on taking blessed vambs anyway.

So what would be a suitable set-up for me? Which pieces should I buy?

Torag/Guthan Helm

Armadyl Amulet/Fury/Glory (if you plan on killing in the Eyrie use Arma Amulet)

Ava's Accumulator

Blk D'hide/Zamorak D'hide/Sara D'hide

Torag/Dharok Legs

Granite Shield/Zammy Kite/Zammy book

Rune c'bow + Broad Bolts

Sara/Zamorak Bracers.

SnakeSkin Boots

Try this, its about the same idea for most tanking outfits.

Also instead of the Mud Staff i suggest to bring a Lava Staff, with nature and water runes in your inventory. The aviansies drop water runes, so bring about 500-1k water runes with you. So you have the Lave staff (Fire+Earth) for the High Alch Spell (Fire+Natures) and B2P (Earth+Water+Nature)

I use the following setup:

Armadyl Helm

Zamorak Blessed D'hide

Holy Book

Armabyl Platelegs

Ranger Boots

amulet of Fury

**Black Knives

Ava's Accumulator

Archer's Ring

Barrows Gloves

**I have tested both Black Knives and Addy Dart now and i will tell you that Addy Darts are not neary as good as Black Knives. They hit higher, but less often. You could always settle for the ussuall Rune C'bow and Broad Bolts which might be better at your level anyway.

Use a Mudstaff, it cuts the cost alot. Also take a Staff of Fire to save cost on Fire Runes.
