Runescape won't Start

Featured Replies

I have 3 PC's each with a different operating system. My laptop with Vista on it works fine with runescape however the other 2 don't

The windows XP one just loads a huge white box and says that Java failed to start - I have installed and made it upto date but it still dosen't work.

The Windows Seven one just loads a black space and i reinstalled Java on it too and it still dosen't work.

Any advice on how to fix these problems.

Dont just say use the vista one because we all know how much it fails.

Thanks on advance

How many runescapers does it take to fix a lightbulb?

50, 1 to screw it in and 49 to complain that it was better before.

Simple answer: your other computers sucks. I myself got my own vista and it works great (except teh internets  )

Must be cause the other computers r messed up and old or they got viruses+java or adobe flash player got some files missing.

Another possibility is that your virus protection or firewall are blocking those 2 programs.

XP problem solved - Firewall blocked it after i got a virus from playing runescape - entered PC through Java.

Getting a virus through Runescape can't be good.

I suggest you scan your computer, with the internet unplugged. Not turned off, actually unplugged.

Few things:

Vista's fine. There were problems with it when it was launched but it's not bad.

You can't get malware (virus' and such) just from playing RuneScape. It must have got through some other way.

I'd suggest try updating graphics drivers if you want to play HD, updating all your browsers to their latest editions, delete the JaGex cache and making sure you haven't got any other firewall software blocking RuneScape. Does the problem still happen if you try RuneScape in another browser? Give these a try, and if they don't work, post back with more info, system specs would be useful.
