Luke Posted August 26, 2005 Share Posted August 26, 2005 Hey, i am getting a new laptop soon, these are its specs :- Hewlett Packard Omnibook 6000 pentium 3 550mhz CPU 512 mb RAM 20GB hard drive Windows XP Service Pack EDIT - my current system Custom Comp Windows ME pentium 2 333 mhz Cpu 96 mb RAM 4GB hard drive this plays rs, although its a little laggy, but still bearable, and ive played Runescape on this system for the last year or so, and i think its been ok :P is it good enough to play Runescape? Phil Posted August 28, 2005 Share Posted August 28, 2005 Taken from the forums at runescape.com -Requirments For your computer to run runescape effectively you will need to meet the following requirements: 1) For the High Detailed Mode - 128MB RAM or more, 500 MHz CPU (minimum). 2) For the Low Detailed Mode - 64MB RAM or more, 300 MHz CPU (minimum). The Minimum connection speed - 56.6kps. So to answer your questions, yes you will be able to run in high detail mode. For a better performace though you should use low detail. I find that funny, those should be the "Recommended" specs, no the minimum as I know 100% I can run RuneScape on lower than a 300 with 64MB RAM. :P Notoriously Trollish.
