I don't know squat about computer parts, but I do know that buying it off the internet is better than buying it from a retail store. (Or so it seems.)

If I am going to buy one online it will be from NCIX.

As it's a quad it will be faster than the duo, even tho it's 860mhz slower per core. Video editing programs have good support for multiple-cores.

 

And why can't you buy one online from HP?

Hp's website does not work for me at all. I cannot download drivers or buy anything, I have tried many things different browsers, operating systems; none will work. I had to get customer service to email me drivers for my scanner. I have bought a PC from NCIX before without any problems.

Ah great.

 

It won't have a problem at all with it.

 

Even tho you don't intend on gaming, the graphics card performs a bit better than 9800gt, so you have the power there if you ever want to (might be nice to know).
