May 24, 200917 yr Your hard drive failed (right?). There are two reasons to move on, A. it's a Dell and B. it's seven years old. I suppose you could just by a new HDD/SSD though.

May 26, 200917 yr This happened on my uncle's Dell, but I'm not sure whether it was a glitch or not. I tried the F12 boot menu a few times, and that failed. When I went to the F2 setup, and then exited out, Windows started and my uncle hasn't shut it down since. This could be worth a try :P If it is the hard drive, you *could* buy a new hard drive, but at 7 years old, you could probably buy a $300 computer with better specs. May 26, 200917 yr Yeah, that message is read 'you're screwed, go buy a new computer' If it's that old, it was about time to upgrade anyways. Nowadays, you can get a decent computer (at least 500gig hard drive, ~2Gb ram, core 2 duo or quad) for ~$500
