Ancient Warrior Armor - Cheaper Than You Think

Hello, I havent played RS or been on TIF for like 6 months... I wont be back for long though lol

 

 

 

When you alch degraded ancient warrior armor, you recieve 60% of their original value. I believe this is regardless of how much the item is degraded.

 

 

 

Seeing how many ancient warrior armors are at their undegraded alch prices, this means that the true cost of using ancient warrior armor is really only 40% of their undegraded alch values.

 

 

 

This means that to use full Zuriel armor (no staff) would cost around 120 + 120 + 60 K = 280K an hour, or roughly 4K - 5K a minute. I consider this to be pretty reasonable.

Yeah, my friend and I figured this out like a month ago but I'm glad someone else noticed. So people can just alch it once they know it is close to disappearing. Too bad it doesn't have like an examine or operate option that says something like "it's barely damaged" when first used then like "it's severely damaged" when it is almost degraded or something.

If you use the armor exclusively for clan wars or PKing, it's relatively easy to time those

Wow that's actually a rather useful tip. Kind of frustrating, as full Vesta's awesome ko'ing power doesn't need to be any cheaper than it already is but hey! Still really cool.

 

 

 

I wonder if they intended it to be like that though.

I am quite sure they did intend that; otherwise they wouldn't make the undegraded and degraded armors different alch values

 

 

 

Also the armors seem much more reasonable (i.e. cheaper) to use...
