DragonSam
In the Easy Tasks section of the Seers Village Diary page, the only required quest listed is Murder Mystery. However, one of the Tasks is to 'Give five locals a glass of cider in the Forester's Arms' and the proposed solution is 'Cider can be purchased for 2 gp each in the Esoterican Arms (pub) underneath Miscellania Castle (if you have begun the Royal Trouble quest).' But . . . you can't start the Royal Trouble quest until you've finished the Throne of Miscellania quest. And you can't start Throne of Miscellania until you've finished Fremmenik Trials and Hero's Quest. So in fact, in order to do that task you need to complete Fremmenik Trials, Hero's Quest and Throne of Miscellania and begin Royal Trouble. Likewise, in order to complete the full list of Easy Tasks you need all those quests, and one begun, as well as Murder Mystery. Best drop so far: Dragon Chainbody from a Dust Devil. damianara
True you can purchase the cider after doing those quests, but there are other ways to get the cider such as making it yourself or buying it from another player. At the time this diary came out I was not able to buy it and ended up making my own, still finished the diary before i did all those quests. Click here if you need help posting images to the forums!! DragonSam
At the time this diary came out I was not able to buy it and ended up making my own, still finished the diary before i did all those quests. Ah, good point. 'Scuse me, I hadn't looked into it enough to realise there were other ways. Maybe if the guide made the alternatives more obvious, and the quest-related option less prominent. ie "Make it, buy from another player, or get it for 2gp each at the Esoterican Arms (pub) underneath Miscellania Castle (if you have begun the Royal Trouble quest)." Lood333
If I remember rightly I got all of my cider from underneath Miscellania Castle because It would have took even longer to make it really
SportsGuy
If I remember rightly I got all of my cider from underneath Miscellania Castle because It would have took even longer to make it really That's been established, I believe. There are several ways to finish the task, the easiest is to buy it from other players on the G.E., but unless there is a stock of it, the next quickest way would be to buy it on Miscellania, then making your own. Since cider is the first thing a member can brew (lvl 14 Cooking) it is not unreasonable to think that Jagex was giving newer players a chance to cross off a task. The guides are never all-inclusive (because there are an infinite number of ways to do anything in the game depending on where you start and end listing the directions) and it's not that hard to reason the tasks out....hence the 'easy' designation. It's not required that you have anything else finished. It would be suggested that you complete as much of the game as possible to make crossing tasks off easier. Wachtwoord
I've added a note on other ways to acquire cider and credited DragonSam. Thanks for everyone's input.
