My Latest creation, a photo manip i am very proud of that took me about 5 hours in one night :)

 

Before I go anywhere, I'd like to thank Connor (On this forum) and my best friend in RL for the CC.

 

I am sure it's not perfect, not finished, but I'm lazy now :P

Thar's rather impressive, nice contrast on the piece, and colours seem nice, but the concept is strange I have to say :P

Haha, cool concept :thumbup: Well done for trying something different and I'm liking the detail on the hand :) No real flaws IMO apart from the finger not looking as realistic as it could but I can't really blame you for that. Should've used a real finger next time ;)

I like what you did with the hand, not too sure about the bone but nice try.

 

 

 

By the way that finger bone stock is really gross. I wonder if it's real. :l

Blood under the finger (I guess that's blood) wasn't done so well..

Thanks for the comments, and seems that there are some flaws with the drawing, i think i am going to go and try my best to make it look even better. I think i will scrap the old bone and re-do it, since it really does look very bad and i think i will just try to draw it myself instead of blending the stock together. Any more tips/ideas are appreciated, as is help with bone construction and whatnot :)

Add a shadow to the hand, that way you can make it look like it's on the ground or floating - depending on what you want

That wasn't helpful, it just made me realize that I have to re-take the photo - this time with my body in it :P (Which i wont)

 

Anyway, i might start to add extra features tomorrow after i've had my exam. Not sure how much more i can do though >_>

Did you study the bones of a finger before you started?

 

The bone sticking out needs to be bigger, and also it should have a visible joint before the tip. Look at the other finger at the same point, it has a joint before the end,

This is just wrong.

It looks like the hand it floating above the ground because it is; if the hand is 'dead' then it should be limp, with the fingers resting on top of eachother and then thumb resting on the ground. With the angle of the wrist and positioning of the thumb relitive to the fingers it looks like it's hovering slightly above the pavement.

Just a heads up, I've fried my hard drive and lost lots of work so including the psds for this. That means i can't continue on it. Just thought I'd let anyone who cared, know :S
