knight training grounds

Due to restrictions and the effects of the knights' attacks draining your melee stats, you want several of some kind of restore pot, probably a superset as well. I would recommend bringing sharks, provided you can afford them. The big deal with this fight is knowing what style of attack each knight is weak against and knowing which of your melee stats (attack, strength or defence) they will be draining so you can pot effectively against them. ALWAYS keep an eye on your stats in this fight or you will waste food and probably have to begin again. As for weapons and armor, bring whatever is your best melee setup. I did it with Torags body and legs. Dragon med is better than Neitz because you won't be praying. No familiars allowed either. Did I miss anything?

Halberd owns.

Just step behind a dummy and own them.

So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth,

These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf,

Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in,

Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything,

Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel,

Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you're always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas,

After all, you were put on the earth to do this,

So shine your light so bright that all can see,

Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.

It doesn't work, you have to side step, and if you wait too long they disappear.

I need some help on this as the guide on tip.it is not very clear... what should i bring? which food should i use?

In the guide they have a table of the knights, which of your melee stats they reduce, and what they're weak to. Most of what you need to know is there. In the right hand column you'll see that stab weapons are really only needed for two early opponents - I used a rune longsword for them. For the crush opponents I had a granite maul, and for the slash opponents I had an abyssal whip. I was wearing dragon platelegs, dragon boots, dragon med helm, rune body and using a rune kiteshield. I also had an amulet of glory and a combat bracelet. I had about 70 in each melee stat, so you're well ahead on that score.

It took me three goes. First time I was just unprepared - I had regular strength and defence potions, not supers, and about 8 monkfish. Got killed by the second last guy. Next time I took about fifteen monkfish and a super potion for each melee stat, and got killed by the last guy. Third time I took three super sets and sharks - as many as I could carry, ie about twelve or fourteen - and knocked off the last guy with six or seven sharks to spare and heaps of potions.

As another reply said, the secret is just to watch your stats carefully and correct the deficiencies the knights bring. The first guy was pretty easy, just a super attack and rune longsword on stab, and he was gone without doing me any damage. It got increasingly difficult from there, but I just kept an eye on which stat was being affected and drank a defence or strength or attack (super, that is) as soon as I saw a stat go under its normal level, plus watched my HP and ate sharks. I had in mind the pattern of which weapons I'd use (long, whip, long, maul, whip, whip, maul, whip) and as soon as I saw an opponent starting his dying animation I'd change to the next weapon.

An easy way of dealing with the stat reduction would be to just take three or four super sets and drink one of each as soon as you see each opponent dying, then another half way through. You could probably correct the reductions that way, although obviously you'd also be wasting a lot of potions (money).

Maybe actually write down what you need to do in what order, from that table. But honestly, it was only the last two I found difficult, and my stats were 70s. Take super potions and sharks, and appropriate weapons (I didn't have a poison weapon, BTW) and pay attention to your stats, and I reckon you'll be fine.

Best drop so far: Dragon Chainbody from a Dust Devil.

Full veracs, a super set, a couple of restores and the rest sharks, you will be fine.

Best of luck.

I'd say Guthan would be good for this.

I personally did it in barrows body/legs, neitz helm, d boots, rune defender, z spear, whip, dds, fury, and addy gloves. (level 75 melee stats)

Take some monkfish (pineapple pizza's, sharks and sara brews are great if you want to use them) and 2 super set.

Dispatch the first ones using the recommended methods (crush, stab or slash), the last guy is the hardest so use a dds spec and if he start getting low health hide behind a light and let the posion do some damage while you heal. If you've done barrows using a sala you can use a similar method to get a few cheap shots off. I managed to get just enough damage do so the poison killed him while I was hiding.

[hide=Drops]

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

I used an interesting little technique:

Set yourself up so that the knight (any of them) is standing in front of a dummy and you're in position to move in between two dummies to the safe spot. After a little while, like when your HP bar vanishes, click to attack but get ready to immediately go back into the spot. If you do it properly, you should be able to step out, attack once, and then go back in without the knight touching you.

However, you must use a relatively fast weapon. I tried it with a barrelchest and it didn't work (the knight still got a hit in), but a whip or DD works fine. Just max out your attack and str the best you can and you'll do fine.
