Gear for Bandos

Featured Replies

Ive been going to Bandos more lately and Im still trying to figure out what gear to bring.

Typically, I will wear:

Zammy dhide top

Verac bottom

Sara bracers

Dboots

Arma pendant

BGS

I rarely tank, only in emergencies. (I have the stats for it and guthans, but my connection is not all that great) Money isnt a huge deal, Im currently saving for an AGS. Sometimes I go with 5 or 6 guys, 125+. Sometimes I go in bigger groups with lower combat levels.

Im wondering if my gear is ok or if I should make some changes. Also, should I change up my gear depending on how many people I go with? Any advice is appreciated, Im still learning, Thanks.

Well if you dont plan on tanking you can wear just about anything. TBH i like wearing void + bgs/ags but even rune works if youve got the defence level to back it up. But yeah, your setud seems pretty decent. Might want to change bracers to barrows gloves though.

Your gear is alright with some good stuff. For a attacker even if they tank sometimes it's important to focus on sergeants attacks so>Magic sergeant>You need magical defense. Not alot changes for a attack setup wise when team size decreases or increases.

Helm of neizinot but Torag helm is smart in a small team (2-3)

Amulet of fury>Glory

Black d hide top (God one)>Karil's top

Verac's skirt>Dharok/Torag

Dragon boots

Barrow gloves>Other gloves ( soz i hate gloves)

Fire cape>Trimmed skillcape>God cape

Warrior ring>Ring of life

Abyssal whip w/Rune defender or BGS (But Abyssal whip w/Rune defender+Warrior ring is devasting good)

BGS spec is however excellent for lowering bosses defence so that's a great option to help your team. So i recommend doing so.

Arma item - not needed

Sara item - not needed

Zammy item - use the cape slot

Bandos item - your BGS

Which leaves you with the head, body, legs, ring, gloves, boots and neck slots.

The neck, boots and ring will always be (well should ideally always be); fury, dragon and berserker/warrior.

The cape I would recommend zammy god cloak as it offers a nice prayer bonus, decent defense stats and is a zammy item.

So you have the helm, body, legs and gloves to play with.

Helm: void melee => neitz -> torags -> other

Body: void => bandos -> fighter -> dhide/karils -> Barrows melee armour -> other

Legs: void => bandos -> veracs -> dharoks/torags -> guthans -> other

Gloves: void => barrows -> dragon -> rune -> regen/addy -> other

Void of course should only be used as a full set. The extra offensive bonus's counter the lower defensive stats, plus void has a very high magic defense compared to other sets.

There is about a 2/3 max hit difference between void and bandos at maxed stats, but the 10% attack bonus makes up for this.

Depending on you, you can replace the body and legs with proselyte which means you can pretty much piety the whole time (during the boss fight) without the need to use prayer potions (just using the altar), but this gives a worse magic defense (it should also be noted it doesn't count as a sara item) so you use more food for less/no prayer potions.

Its all down to personal preference and stats in the end, lower magic level needs a higher magic defense, lower defence needs higher range and melee defense, etc.
