Deltaer
Hey, Before you read my question, keep in mind that I've been gone for a number of years, don't remember quite a bit, and a lot of things have changed. So please avoid using abbreviations and stuff like that, cause chances are I won't know what they are. Onto my first question: where is the best place to kill green dragons? When I played, I remember doing it southwest of the town where the mage guild is (Yanille?) ... is this still a good spot or is there someplace better (close to a bank)? And if yes, does it require a quest? Please be specific with the location. Question #2: Okay, so apparently crossbows are the best for range now... So, I guess I'm going to go that route with ranging... what kind of bolts? Are bronze or iron okay? I'm going to assume that they work like arrows - just hit less for every metal you go down (i.e. brown hits possibly 1 less than iron and so on).. And how do I make bolts exactly? The guide here isn't too specific.. do I need a tip for every bolt? Thanks. Answering either or both questions would be helpful. Edit: and what's this new darkbow?? Is it fast or slow? Hits high? mister_moocky
The best places to kill green dragons are east of clanwars or in the chaos tunnels. Rune crossbows with broad bolts are the best for training. Broad bolts require 55 slayer, and have the same range strength as adamant bolts, but are far cheaper. Broad bolts can be bought on the grand exchange. Darkbows are only good for their special attack. They fire very slow, but shoot 2 arrows every shot. With dragon arrows their special can hit 90+ (two 45+ hits) however that is very rare and they aren't very accurate. quit
gorgoroth
As for your first question: Green dragons are best killed in Chaos Tunells because there are no Revenants there. There is a helpfulll guide in my sigg. Although a lot of people use X'bows for ranged i prefer using Black Knives. faster hits, faster kills, faster exp. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]

Deltaer
Thanks for the replies. I'm only seeing unfinished broad bolts in the g/e... I'm only 80 range, and I don't think I'd mind training with iron or steel bolts.. But how do you make them exactly? Umm, those may have been blue dragons.. my bad. The clan wars spot for green drags doesn't seem so great (haven't tried it yet but just guessing).. cause its kinda far away from the bank. Broad Bolts are named Broad-tipped Bolts on the Grand Exchange. You can buy then then you dont need to make them yourself. You also require a Slayer Level of 55 to use them. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
stillballin
I just started playing recently after like a 2 year break too.. get broad bolts if you can. they are like 55 gp each, and i went from hitting like 11s with iron arrows on a magic bow (which i thought was the best) to trying out rune cbow + broad and hitting 23's.. 80 range here too

Thanks; I do have a high enough slayer lvl. So they hit as high as addy bolts? That's awesome. stillballin
yea, it sucks not knowing what alot of the stuff is, but you should get used to it. IMO its not nearly as fun as it was back in the rsc days, but its alright.
