Juliet is like 13 and Romeo is like 15. The entire story takes over the course of 3 days as I recall. They know next to nothing about each other, and Romeo plows her on day 2. In the end they are both dead because of their own stupidity. It isn't a great love story, its a story about two idiotic teenagers in lust.

 

Now as compared to Much Ado About nothing, the characters Beatrice and Benedict have known each other for a long time and verbally spar all the time. The other lovers Cassio and Hero, "fall in love" at first site, are tricked by the villain Don Pedro, and Cassio essentially calls her a [bleep] and leaves her at the altar. Only after she pretends to be dead and Cassio has time to think and regret does she reveal herself to be alive. Throughout this you see that Beatrice and Benedict are a perfect match, because Benedict needs a beautiful woman, who isn't stupid and submissive, and Beatrice needs a man who is on her level with wit. The story ends happy with everybody getting married, Don Pedro the villain is captured, and they are in love because they all grew emotionally.
