So just found out something else about my family past, and how i came very close to never existing.

 

Via my uncle,

"My father was born premature, at home like most babies in the 30's. They thought he was stillborn because he wasn't moving and wasn't crying. They told his mother he was born dead. They wrapped him up in newspaper and set him aside. A while later someone noticed that he had peed -- there was a wet spot on the newspaper and they realized he was alive. They swapped the newspaper for a blanket and put him in a box under a light bulb -- an improvised incubator. A couple days later when they realized he might actually live, they told his mother that he survived. 26 years later, I was born -- the first of 7 that would not have existed if not for newsprint on the butt..."

out of curiosity, does anyone here speak any other language other than english?

I'm not fluent, but I speak a lil spanish. As Napalm can vouch for me, it's absolutely horrible.

I can speak German as if im a seven year old, it isnt good but atleast i can communicate :thumbup:

I've had Spanish since the 5th grade.

I've always wanted that, but they don't offer foreign languages until at least high school here.

I wish I had a cockney accent or a Russian accent.
