I thought you were implying that the Coast Guard was like something very hard to do.

Then again I probably misread that. I just gave it a quick glance and posted.

But meh.

Yeah I choose the Coast Guard because I really dont want to be going too far away from home. And there's like two different stations about 20 minutes from my home.

Also, I loves me some swimming.

I used to be good at math until I realized it was a load of [cabbage] I didn't care about. Now I'm in Pre-Calc sleeping through every class and getting solid Cs and Bs, and none of it will make any difference in my life.

I hate this argument so much. So [bleep]ing much. You wouldn't believe how much I hate this. Oh my god.

I do believe you are mad, bro.

321, I would drop it like it's hot, except it's a graduation requirement (technically 3 years of math is the requirement, but I'd rather do Pre-Cal than AP Stat or something, even if AP Stat is supposed to be easier)

Who, I only say this because I'm not going into math and everything about the class just annoys me to no end. I used to be good at math and get awards and stuff, but then math became "Which buttons to press on your calculator to eliminate the necessity for logical thought" and I stopped doing the homework. I realized that I didn't want a life that had anything to do with math, and therefore anything beyond what I knew already would just be wasting my time - therefore, I had to make some sort of productive use of class time - namely, sleeping with my head down on a physics folder to determine the osmotic effects of notes in another class which I don't like and refuse to study for.

It kinda pisses me off how whenever I talk to people about talking to a recruiter they don't even say I'll think about it. I realize it isn't for everyone, but they say no because they think they're too good for it. I'm gonna laugh when they get out of college and realize they are still flipping burgers. That's what I think is wrong with people today, they think they're "too good" and entitled to everything.

The main reason I get annoyed by that is because NO ONE EVER USES IT FOR ANY OTHER CLASSES.

LIKE SERIOUSLY, WHEN THE [bleep] AM I EVER GOING TO HAVE TO ANALYZE SHAKESPEARE? WHEN? LIKE, EVERYONE EVER IS MORE LIKELY TO USE MATH THAN ENGLISH AND SOCIAL STUDIES. EVERY MOTHER [bleep]ING ONE.

Yes, yes I am mad.

Holy [cabbage]. I was just reading some [cabbage]ty book for English and I was all like "I'm going to complain on tif about how [bleep]ing terrible "advanced" English classes are" and then I came here and you all already did that for me. I've seriously considered getting into politics in order to try to get rid of this [bleep]ing bull [cabbage] of how you need 4 years of English classes and only 3 years of math to graduate high school in New Jersey, but then I remembered that people suck and that I couldn't really change anything. I was thinking of editing this and actually making a decent post/argument, but I decided against it.

Tl;dr

Abc hates English (classes) with a passion

I set a goal on my birthday to try to not post anything "serious" here. I've been pretty good about it. This will probably be the last time I say anything like this for a while.

321, I'm one of those people. I won't say "I'll think about it" because I won't. I'm going to do everything in my power to stay out of the army. I don't agree with a lot of things there. I'd much rather be flipping burgers.

Heh.

France.

If I got to choose where I'd move to outside of this country it would either be the Netherlands, Sweden, New Zeland, either Scotland/Ireland/Wales/England, or Australia.

flipping burgers is hard work. i'll be honest and say i don't like hard work. however, if you're paying me money to do a job, i'm going to put my best effort into it, even if its not flipping burgers and i'm poorly supervised.

i worked for a tech support call center, and my coworkers were always surprised at how hard i worked etc.

they knew ways to cheat the system, and they abused it.

yet when the recession came, i wasn't the first to be let go.

I agree, but disagree. I hear people saying this all the time. In fact, many of my friends are already complaining that English has been a waste of time and they have to take four years of it. English applies accross the board, wherever you go, but only if we assume every english class is perfect. In reality, most english classes in high school are a massive waste of time.

I don't complain as much about english because I think all high school is a massive waste of time, and I actually enjoy english. I think it (well, depending on the teacher) encourages higher thought and creativity rather than stifling it.

Maybe you just aren't around math people. Make friends with someone who wants to go into a science career, I guarentee he'll tell you a lot of english is a waste of his time. Writiing will be necessary in his field, but analyzing [cabbage]ty books won't.

I'd accept that. If you said "I disagree with a lot of the things in the military and thus won't join" I'd say ok. But if you just said No, or I don't think it's for me, without looking in to it, that'd piss me off.
