Abc1230
Sorry, let me rephrase. I have nothing to do. I need something enjoyable to do. YouTube
SeanyTheSailor
Ah yes volunteerism. Tricking people into thinking they get something out of charity since time immemorial. God dammit Seany, STOP SHARING MY MIND" I believe in something greater than myself. A better world. A world without sin. I'm not going to live there. There's no place for me there... I'm a monster. What I do is evil. I have no illusions about it, but it must be done."

Abc1230
I volunteered once before a few summers ago. It was a bad experience. My lack of social skills made it even worse. Everybody was looking at me and thinking of me as the weird kid nobody liked or talked to. Besides, I have a job. Why would I want to do the same thing for free? Tricking people into thinking they get something out of charity since time immemorial. That might have worked if you were talking about money charities. Soup kitchens and local food pantries are kind of different from monetary charities such as The Salvation Army. Abc1230
Oh, [bleep]. I just had a great idea. I'll get some pretzels. You still with me? I'll take the pretzels and put them in the microwave. Wait, wait. It gets better. With the pretzels I will have cheese! Yes, melted cheese on pretzels! I'm a genius. YouTube
H2PM
Yes, because you're get tricked because you're cleaning up a park or a river. Volunteering is the work of teh devil, hissss. SeanyTheSailor
What if you melted the cheese, dipped the pretzels in it then waited for the cheese to re-solidify? @halo, No they just say you have a good feeling knowing you helped afterwards, which is total bullshit. The hours are long, the work is boring and often unpleasant, and in my experience the people it benefits are ungrateful, even spiteful that you're helping them. H2PM
What does this have anything to do with cleaning up after ourselves? Oh, yeah. Sure. But there are plenty of people that benefit from it too. But that's probably the minority that doesn't matter, right? Some people like it, some don't. Just saying. You don't really know if you try it.And I guess volunteering is something that doesn't swing right with Abc. The Observer
Well, he just has a bad experience. Food banks suck. To those that they help... they don't help them that much at all. They give them a basket once a month that actually lasts them less than a week.

Abc1230
What if you melted the cheese, dipped the pretzels in it then waited for the cheese to re-solidify?Brilliant! Unfortunately, we only have a very small number of pretzels left and shit-tier processed cheese, so I used Wheat thins instead. It was meh.
