Th3_Crusader
Hi My brother set a wifi password along time ago when he got his laptop. But unfortunately he forgot it. I can't access Internet from my house now for my wii and ipod touch. Does anyone know how to change it? Thanks
aspokaspofkjsopfkapo
Do you have any computers currently connected to the lan and do you have the router installation disc?
Denismage
You can either crack it or run a small app on a PC that is connected to wireless to get the key.
Laura
There should be a restart button on your router. Press and hold it for 30 seconds and the password should be removed.
Hobgoblinpie
The method described above should work. However, if it doesn't, you should contact the manufacturer about it, and they will give you an address to put into your browser which will come up with diagnostic tools and such, you should be able to reset the password from there. And then he'll spend another hour reconfiguring the router. Yay for simple solutions.

To achieve this easier go to a computer that's connected to the router, type "ipconfig/all"(no quotes) into the command promt and then type the ip address that you find into a browser. This should allow you to access the router's config page(default username=admin/administrator and default password=password) and change the password. If there isn't a computer connected then you can run a program to find the password on a windows computer that has used the router, run a password cracking program(but this is very complicated) or reset the router via a button(but only if you have the installation disc). I'm unsure what you change on your router, but changing mine takes about five minutes.
