Ok so I want to start trying out the PVP worlds. Are there any guides out there (or any hints from experienced PK'ers) that might help me? I've never been one to pk much before and I'm not really loaded with cash. Thanks! :)

To get a decent drop you'll need to earn some EP. EP is earned by standing arround in a PvP world, and gains much faster in hotspots.

Explain how you can stand in hotspots without dying in or every 5 seconds. (I don't PvP either. :? ) High defence? Good armor? Lots of food?

Stand upstairs in a building with 75k worth of junk (not noted though) and just relax. Or, bring stackables like alchs or bolts (for fletching) and skill, slam a 1click teleport as soon as anyone logs in/comes up. If you're f2p there is no worry about getting 2-hit rushed like p2p.

Any tips on items to wear/bring and an effective way of murderlizing my opponent? :-X (It's cool if you don't wanna reveal secrets :) )

I'm just a total pvp nub so any help I can get is appreciated.

Here are some tips:Always use stabing(or a pickaxe or arrows) weapons when facing someone with armor.

Always make sure your weapon is stronger than your opponent's armor.

Never try to defeat someone who has a combat level that is higher than yours(there is an exception, though. If you know their for example, magic, is high but their, lets say melee, is weak and he is using melee, attack them[if they have a low defence level])

Here is the fighting type order:(>=defeats) melee>ranged>magic>melee

Make sure you use prayer.

If you have a special attack(or a good spell but only a few runes), save the attack untill the enemy is nearly defeated.

Never try to use a crushing weapon against ranged.

Don't ever fight two opponents at once(unless both of them are very weak)

To survive in a hotspot, stand on the same tile as a person(who is already fighting) with a lower combat level than you. Make sure your combat level is not too low.

Bring all skill boosting potions you can.

Bring a skillcape if you have one. It boosts your level by 1.

Use at least rune weapons and armor.

Bring as much runes as possible.

If you plan on ranging, be near an arrow shop or bank(I once got pwned because I ran out of arrows and didn't bring a backup weapon).

Bring at least 1 backup weapon.
