Championfurydelta123
1.In the tunnel does the number of doors you open until you get to the chest affect your loot? 2. What is the best Killcount to get before opening the chest to retrieve your loot? By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. - Confucius
Lordtunkuta
1. No 2. I've had the best luck with 13 for barrows items.

darkenigma0
1. No 2. For me, it was 12, but that's just me. I think you should try a few times and find your lucky number :)
Johannas
The killcount only affects the non barrows armour items you get from the chest. Most people try to get a killcount of about 10 as the extra bolt racks/mind runes usually cover the costs of the run. As long as you kill all the brothers and open the chest, you have an equal chance of an barrows piece. Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig! The best killcount is the one that balances speed and reward. I usually get 12. ~It's Super Effective! JoeDaStudd
If you don't kill all 6 brothers before searching the chest then it does reduce your chances of barrows items. 12+ is best get alteast 12 anything over is a waste of time, but less reduces the profit per run.
