WIP ~ First time drawing female character

Well, I haven't had the oppurtunity to draw a female character so I decided to make one of a girl I like, I will most likely put a background in tomorrow since it is Midnight as I post this.

i know girls are slightly harder to draw.. but sorry it doesnt really look like a girl..

It's nice to see you've decided to do a gal for a change, I dun know why it's soo hard for guys to draw women, just maybe because guys are more familiar with how guys look for the simple reason of that they're guys :? .. Some people when they come to draw women make them seem too manly or to extreme, the more talented drawers fall down the trap of making every woman look exectly the same (big boobs and hourglass figure :lol: ).. just see any manga cartoon (phht, I just feel like a perv watching anything like that).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

you've got the basics right with this one (long hair, clothing and a rack obviously), but keeping to your style I think this still looks a bit male-ish.. it's mainly the fact that the face is a lil bit too wide, as is the shoulders and you need some hint of a figure.. maybe the picture below will help ya..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But don't copy that cus then it won't be your style and you little characters are pretty neat, maybe just give it a skinnier face and not so broad shoulders and it should look much more like a female..
