Actually, they're releasing a new skill this year. Mod Mark Gerhard already stated in his MMO interview that they were releasing a new skill that was like nothing ever done before in Runescape, but he didn't want to say anymore because he didn't want to spoil it or over-glorify it only to have a lot of disappointed people after it's release.

 

 

 

So, really, this topic doesn't have any discussion. Your title is false. There will be another skill, and it will most definitely be out by the end of this year.

OT: It's been a while since there has been a new skill, and everyone is anticipating one. Many players have narrowed it down to just one or a few skills (sailing and whatnot). I think a new skill might just come out within '09, but it won't be sailing or any other of the anticipated skills.
