They do drop the tiny elf crystals but they aren't really a common drop so you'll be killing quite a few before getting one. I was killing the elf warriors in Lleyta for a while for a slayer task and I certainly got quite a few of the tiny elf crystals. Maybe it's different in the elf camp. I might go and check that out.
