i dont think patchwork is good in a abstract ....

 

 

 

but for your first one not to bad (my first suck cabbage!)

i dont really like it, dl brushes and it'll be better

just try to use lots of layers and stay away from bright colors, i find red and blue work very well.

Well you made an admirable effort and I respect, if you can try getting 3d Studio Max or C4D. Try doing some 3D renders and brushing those. But don't to over zealous with brushes or you could just turn your work into a piece of dung. So it's just a matter of trial and error.
