On my quest to find a bandos team, I need to get prayer to 70 and summoning to a minimum of 52, but I also need the proper gear (and by that I mean a bandos GS to appease the RSOF and other high end mele armors.) So I assume that if I get skills first they'll help me pay for getting the gear, but if I get the gear I assume that the gear will help me get the skills.

So as of right now, I'm thinking of getting the gear first skills second, but am I a n00b for thinking to do this?

I would get Strength, Attack both to 80. Then maybe defence even more. Or even better, all of them 90.

You wont get into a Bandos Team with low defence.

Get your melee stats as high as possible.

If you get your defense to around the 80 mark you can simply buy guthans and tank, as tanks are always in demand.

Get the skills first then the gear that way you'll have more to spend on gear from the training.

To AnthonyL's comment about low defense its not entirely true. A lot of teams will take on pures with high attack and strength but low defense as they hit better then rounded players of the same level. Sure you won't last as long, but summoning can counter that.

Well tbh you dont even need any summoning lvl at all. I never even use a summoning fimilliar when i go on Teams and i get a team without any trouble.

But if you look at his stats he has:

Relatively low Attack and Defence.

Low Summoning.

Mid-High Strength.

Average Hitpoints.

If you want to be a BETTER consideration for a Bandos team i suggest all combat stats (but summoning) to around 80.
