Change of gear

I've been slaying in the same thing for awile and was wondering should I change something in it? Any suggestions on a good alternative for anything in this. I'm currently on a budget of 5m cash because I lost about 16m in the last week so please don't tell me bandos because atm I only have a total of 22m and want to keep my other gear.

 

 

 

This is what I wear for slaying most monsters:

 

Normal combat:

 

 

Mainly wondering what would be a good alternative to barrows legs?

 

 

 

Mage defence gear:

 

 

Should I use anything different here?

 

 

 

Prayer gear:

 

 

Should I use a shield with a prayer bonus? I have the falador shield 3, I don't have the unholy book with pages in it and don't really plan on getting it.

For melee, get a Verac Skirt. It has the same defense as Torag Legs but with a prayer bonus. If you want non degrading armour, get a dragon skirt (cheaper than legs).

I'd suggest maybe buying a zammy spear if for efficient waterfiend(weak to crush) and aquanites(weak to stab) tasks. Other then that nothing realy besides ring of wealth ftw.

I would just stick to the Beserker ring. I find the RoW to be overrated. The Beserker ring will get you better exp/hr. I did use a RoW, but once i got in the low-mid 80s i switched to a Beserker ring and stayed with it.

 

 

 

Also i don't use a shield on most prayer tasks. I find the extra help from the Defender to out weigh that exp. And there are few tasks that i find the shield to actually help on as there are few tasks that i use prayer. Mainly those i cannon (not including dags, unless i do the CT dags) and SP Mages as they have a high magic attack. But since they have such low HP you can kill them in 4 hits max.

Until someone trustworthy posts atleast 10000 monsters killed of the same type with a ROW and without one and has edivence to clearly point towards one or the other I will continue to use a ROW. I doubt Jagex would lie to us about it's uses, but maybe some monsters don't have 2 drop wheels or maybe some have 3? The small difference that the ring does make could mean the difference between a rune chain and a whip or bandos boots and a hilt.

 

 

 

The shield is very useful even if you bring it along once/day to mlik the prayer restore option. It's realy up to you on both things though.

Thanks for the replies I think i'm gonna start using the falador shield 3 for prayer tasks now. I haven't made up my mind on the ring of wealth yet, but I was wondering if I sold my berserker ring I might have the money for bandos tassets because I just sold all my slayer drops and a few other things. Does anyone know how much tassets are going for on the streets now that they're starting to crash? And would it be worth using them instead of berserker ring and different leg armour?
