I was at Draynor cutting my willows, and RIGHT THERE there are people saying:

"buyin rune axe 5k"

"can you give money plzzz"

"press 123 to be my gf"

"@@@@@@@@@@"

"sellin 3k willows"

 

Sigh... noobs should really learn that the GE is the most awesome place to buy and sell.

There's 2 ways to deal with this:

 

1. Patiently answer the newbies and help them out a bit by giving them the information they need. You're fishing, so I guess it's not too much trouble.

 

 

 

2. Ignore them, or tell them you're busy.. Better yet, say "Idk" and they'll leave you alone. :lol:

This is like the 50,000th rant about 'noobs'... Just ignore them and carry on about your game.

 

I had 'Barrow gloves' at level 66 and you wont believe how many level 100's ask about them.

 

 

 

Im very proud of the achievement so i happily tell them how to get it. Its called being nice... :thumbup:

I can understand the what to use as bait from them i gues but yes i have had similar experiences. Just because you think some people are idiots doesnt mean you have to insult them, you were low level'd and not always runescape smart,plus im sure other players have thought the same thing of you they just dont rant on it

Yeah they can get annoying since you dont bot, you cant get in trouble, so dont worry about it. I keep my chat on public or friends.

Those people just want to find out a good method to go for that 99 stat. If I were you, I would tell them where to train for those levels.

 

There's a fine line between people that seek advice, and people that just behave stupid.

I like this rant. Reminds me of the other 5000 topics just like it. Rant about something worth while. No one cares - you won't get banned just because some1 hits the report button.

 

Bet you would have 5000+ posts for gettting free postcount on all those "other 5000 topics" about noobs.

I just answer their questions, and give them some good advice. sometimes I go out of my way and show them where they need to go. Now it's when they say "Add me" is when I: A; tell them my friends list is full (it is in F2p), or B; teleport away.

All to help the greater good of Runescape.

 

Seriously, I hate it when people tell some noob off, then turn around and PM their friend/post on a forum "What happen to the good ol'days when RS had a better community?"
