23 hour (and still not grown) Papaya trees?

It's been 23 hours since I've planted my Papayas, and 4 out of 5 aren't grown still (I've paid the farmer).

 

 

 

What's the matter with that? I know they can get diseased, which'd take longer, but not nearly double their usual time?

 

Yesterday, I has similar problems with Maples that took 9 hrs to grow.

 

 

 

Anyone know what the possible problem is and how I might remedy it? Thanks in advance.

There is no "usual" time

 

 

 

The times given by guides general give the average or time for no disease phases.

 

 

 

Trees, in particular, regularly take longer; alot longer, than these times

just bad luck. ive had calquat trees take over 50 hours before

Yep, it happens occasionally. I generally just come back every 24 hours and they are finished growing about 95% of the time.
