Barrows: New Questions

For a single run how many supplies should I buy? How many slayer dart casts do I need and how many broad bolts? I will be using the proselyte method.

I only know the answer to the first one, and it is yes. You can only wield the staff with the cape. Guthix can be used with the staff or the void mace. You can use the staff without the cape though. But the cape is needed if you plan on charging your spells. You can also just wear the cape and not have to have the staff.

I have got a couple of questions about the Mage Arena and Barrows and in no particular order here they are. Also for Barrows I'm planning to use the proselyte method.

 

 

 

1. Do you have to be wielding the appropriate staff with your god cape? For example if I want to wear guthix's god cape would I have to wield guthix's staff as well.

 

2. Where does the fight with Kolodion take place?

 

3. Is there any good substitute for an unholy book for barrowing?

 

4. At my magic level would it be better for me to use wind wave or slayer dart for the Barrows?

 

1) Cpt took care of it.

 

2) Takes place in the actual arena but only he can attack you, it's in wildy but I don't think revs can get you...

 

3) Since you're praying, you could try a book of balance, falador shield, holy book. You really don't need a lot of magic attack since they're so weak to magic anyways.

 

4) I think slayer dart is overall cheaper and efficient but I'm not sure since I've never used any type of wave in barrows.

The only problem with Revs can be getting there as its at the back of the wildy. However i think the teleport switch in edgeville teleports you nearby the entrance to mage arena.

1. If you wield one item, you can't wield the other item of another god (no unholy book with a guthix cape).

 

2. In the mage arena itself.

 

3. Mage book if you want to buy it. Then bring a rune def.

 

4. Wind wave is max of 17. slayer dart is (Magic lvl - 50)/10 rounded down + 10 = max hit/ Get 2 more lvls and your max at slayer dart will be 17. Considering that deaths and minds will drop much more than bloods, go with slayer dart.

The person above me is wrong, just plain wrong. I am, just to check for myself, trying this out. I am wearing a guthix cape from the mage arena and weilding a unholy book. where he got his idiotic idea I have no idea.

Since you'll be praying them all, take 8 ppots (4) max first run, then see how many you use.

 

 

 

Take about 100 Broad Bolts and 250 Slayer Dart casts. You won't use them all, but it's better to have too many.

 

 

 

Remember a Melee weapon for getting KC in the tunnels.

 

 

 

EDIT: Oh, and take Range Armour for Ahrim, a 1 click tele, spade (duh) and the rest monkfish. Might be good to take Rune for getting killcount in the tunnels, since you won't pray against those. Though really, you could wear rune easily instead of prosalyte.

Honestly, the proselyte method will make you use so much cash that you'll end up with either a big loss or a small profit.

 

 

 

You should really try out the torags method, it is one of the most stable ones to make profit
