Zogre Flesh Eaters

When it says, all items will be available during the quest, you could have put hatchet, weapons and armor, and wolf bones are needed. You need achey logs and wolf bones which are only obtainable with hatchet and maybe armor. Most people would think you wouldn't need a hatchet or weapons to kill a wolf if it says "all items are available during the quest." Usually I get what items are needed and suggested but this quest says there all available but how are you gonna cut a tree w/o an axe?

this is true. when i did the quest, the ogre grish did not automatically give me the ogre comp bow. i did not recieve arrows either. therefore i needed an axe, knife, bowstring, feathers, and nails. these items where not accessible through the quest (except for the knife).

Other items needed include: Rogue's Purse and Snakeweed (gathered on Karamja -- see Jungle Potion), and vials of water to make Recilym's Balm. You will want this potion as soon as possible (after you talk to Sithik the second time you will be able to make them, as well as brutal arrows), because as soon as you enter the Zogre area, you'll be diseased by the Zogres and losing stat points. You can drink Restore pots to regain stats, but the only other way to cure it is to leave the area (away from Yanille and the Ogre areas, I stopped losing stat points). So you might want to take more Restore pots with you besides the two you are given. Also LOTS of food. I did this quest at combat 60 and hp 51, and after I defeated the monster I hiccuped and died because I was out of food and out of Recilym's.

The Zogres mob you if you do this quest by yourself, plus the area above ground is multi combat, the best thing is just to run. They can't be easily killed until you have the composite bow and brutal arrows. I had a hard time just getting into the coffin because the Zogres kept attacking me and interrupting the dialog while I was searching and trying to open the coffin.

I think once you provide them (sell or give?) to the ogre outside the Zogre encampment, you can then buy them from him later, which means you wouldn't need to collect all the ingredients yourself for each potion. There should be some mention somewhere about having to cure disease often in any quest that involves the Zogres, so in that case I would agree.

Yes, once you give one Relicym's balm to Uglug Nar, he will sell you the potion for 200 gp. He also sells cooked chompies (130 gp) and knives.

I think it's probably worth mentioning at least, seeing as the guide assumes you use the ogre bow and brutal arrows, that you don't actually get given a bow or arrows and will need to bring one (or the materials for one) yourself.

I propose we add a Suggested Items list, containing the following:

[Ogre Bow, knife, feathers (20+ maybe?), rogue's purse, snake weed, vial of water, steel nails, hammer]

Plus possibly a sublist of [Wolf Bones, Bow String], if the player intends on making an ogre composite bow.

To be honest though, what's up with the ogre gathering all these things to make a composite bow to show you how it's done, then not giving it to you? You're obviously going to be needing it in the immediate future, whereas he's just going to be sitting out front...

I think they should add that slash bash has a ranged attack to the tips tricks and notes section or walkthrough.

I did this quest on my lower leveled account a few weeks ago too, and I had the same result i'll look into it.

Ok a suggested item section has been added to the quest guide, thanks for your input!
