Hi everyone, I'm new to this board, I never bothered to make an account for the forums but I've been using tipit for almost all my RS help.

 

 

 

Anyway, back on topic. I want to go to Aviansies because I've heard from many that it was great money-making.

 

My stats are:

 

Range: 84

 

Defence: 77

 

HP: 85

 

Pray: 56

 

Slayer: 55

 

 

 

I was planning to wear black d'hide + accumulator + rune c'bow w/ broad

 

I'm probably going to buy a Zammy Coif and Sara Vambs along with an Armadyl Pendant for GWD. Unless anyone knows a cheaper way?

 

Also, I've seen guides where some people use food such as sharks or monks while others would go for a full invent of pray pots. I was wondering what works best for you guys, and what would work best for me?

 

Exactly what things should I fill my invent with and is there anything I should know? Thanks in advance!

There are two methods im aware of;

 

 

 

Tank; take best defence armour (not barrows if you're going on a long haul) and bones to peaches tabs. Take alch runes to alch whatever doesn't stack and stay for along as you like.

 

 

 

Pray; Wear a compromise of both range and pray boosting equiptment then just pray and wait till your pots run out.

Best most cost/profit cost efficent way:

 

 

 

gear:

 

Helm- sara coif

 

Body- black d hide

 

Legs- Zammy chaps

 

Shield- Granite

 

Wep- Rune c bow

 

Arrows- Broad

 

Cape- Accumulater

 

Ammy- Arma pendent

 

 

 

U can use w.e boots/ring u want

 

 

 

 

 

Use Bones to peaches tabs so u can stay for a long time, I used this set up when i was 70 range and 70 def and i was fine now im 80 range and 75 def and have no problems what so ever. The gear is as cheap as u can get but works fine and with no barrows u dont have to worry bout degrading.

That setup looks pretty cheap and efficient. I think I'll go with that one. Also, should I bring pray pots or sharks/monks?

you can also use an obby shield in place or granite. No prayer pots. My inventory is mith grapple, bones to peaches tabs, nats, fire rune ( for alching rune daggers) quick tele, water rune air rune and 1 coin as place holders and the rest is food with like 2 open spots. I bring the food so i dont have to start using the bones to peaches tabs till u have quite a few kills already.

but now I've come into another problem. How do I get my Armadyl Pendant back? I saw that I needed to get it from the guardians in the Ikov dungeon, but how do I get back there? I went around everywhere but couldn't find an entrance that let me past..

Dont you just talk to the made outside the house near edge? Im sure thats how you get it. Or is that luciens pendant?

If you sided with the Guardians of Armadyl in the Temple of Ikov quest or have completed WGS, just talk to one of them at the end of the temple. If you sided with Lucien and haven't yet done WGS, you'll need to kill the Guardians until you get one.

I don't see a maid outside, I just see Lucien inside. I went in the house and tried to talk to him for Lucien's Pendant again (which I think I need to get the Armadyl Pendant) but it just keep saying I've finished Temple of Ikov. I keep meeting dead end after dead end..

I can't get to the guardians. Aren't they in the temple of Ikov? How do I get to them? All the doors and trapdoors leading to them won't let me through.

They're in the Temple of Ikov, yes. You need to re-follow the steps you took in the quest to get there. You don't need to refight the mage or repay the witch, though.

Thanks, but I still have no clue how to get Lucien's Pendant, as whenever I talk to him it says "You've already completed Temple of Ikov" or something. If I try to go further north past the gate, it won't let me through because of fear. :roll:

Obtaining another Pendant of Lucien depends on what side you took in the quest, and if you have completed While Guthix Sleeps. You can:

 

Good Side - Talk to Lucien in the Flying Horse Inn.

 

Bad Side - Talk to Lucien in his house near the Grand Exchange.

 

Good and Bad Side (Upon completing While Guthix Sleeps) - Talk to the Local Thug in either the Flying Horse Inn, or Lucien's house near the Grand Exchange.

I actually don't agree with ANY of the set up's posted above, i'll show my set up in a sec.

Oops, ps, the nats should read 100 ^

 

Oh, and the 2 laws + 2 fires are for quick teleportation to Trollheim. Helps alot :)

 

 

 

Now the waters + earths can be substituted for bones to peaches tabs if you wish. However, if you have the spell it's normally alot cheaper to just do it this way. You also get more nature runes back than you use, so no need to worry too much. The range pots are optional and depend how long you're going for. I normally use around 5 doses to kill 100 avainsies.

 

This is the perfect set up for at tank

 

My stats, if you're interested, well, the main ones, 86 defence and 82 range.

 

 

 

Moreover, avanisies are around 250-300 k / hour.

 

However, the range exp is a slow 35-40 k exp / hour.

I get the Xp rate and Loot rate an hour with and i spend less on it so really with my set up u get more profit and dont need to spend money on barrows.

Dragon boots have no advantage at avis in fact there are a disadvantage. Use snakeskin instead.

 

Replace the holy book with granite shield, torags helm with a god coif, dharok platelegs are cheaper and have the same stats and replace the vamps with barrows gloves if you have them.

 

Replace 4 of the lobsters with cheap food like trout or salmon and the rest of them with pineapple pizzas or baskets of strawberries.

 

Remember if you use the right location you only need a zammy and arma item so that will save some money on the setup too.
