Ryuuka
[hide=]Head back downstairs now to balance out the weight on the statue. * The amount needed is your weight minus the reading on the thermometer. * Go back down stairs and get the necessary amount of weights from the pile. * Go back upstairs and place them upon the statue. * Go over to the door and if you have properly done it, you will open it and be returned to the original main underground room with elite guards. * If you have not, you will be gassed and hit for damage, along with some of your items being taken away. Do not worry, you do not have to repeat the puzzles. Just keep going back until you can escape from the place with the notes.[/hide] The guide doesn't mention that you can just fill your inventory with weights so that you weight matchs the thermometer, i failed 2 times matching the weight so i just matched my weight and prayed, and it worked so why shouldn't it work for others too(it is much simpler than adding to the statue) [hide=]Required: Must get on regular magic spellbook; Bronze medium helm, iron chainbody, uncharged orb, 3 cosmic runes, 30 of one type elemental rune Suggested: armour, food, potions, salamander or change of weapons[/hide] this is suppose to be unpowered orb Edit: the guide also says to teleport to falador at the end of the part but falador teleport runes are not suggested, might be an idea Played since February 200113th to 30 huntingfiremaking cape achieved 6th August 2008_-_-_-_Quest cape achieved 19th August 2009
Toad
not sure what you mean exactly, do you mean weights + your inventory weight? can't confirm this as I already have the quest done.
Ryuuka
ill explain it further then. thermometer says: 48 my weight: 46 i pick up 1x 2kg weight and now my weight is 48, and 48-48 = 0 now i dont need to place anything on the statue Played since February 200113th to 30 huntingfiremaking cape achieved 6th August 2008_-_-_-_Quest cape achieved 19th August 2009

essiw
I think this is true, I did it with dropping stuff in my invetory (food) and worked too. http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. JoeDaStudd
I can confirm this I got lucky and had the exact same value as my weight + broav so I picked him up and walked out the door without any trouble. EDIT and broav adds your weight even if hes following as I balanced the wieght prefect for me and did would work, but once I took into account broav it worked fine. pokemama
Yeah my understanding was that you just need to make your weight and thermometer be equal. But you can do it such that the thermometer AND the statue add up to your weight, so you don't have to drop anything. So you'd put weights on the statue if you outweigh the thermometer, or carry weights yourself if you weigh less than the thermometer. I think the second condition isn't really supposed to happen, but meh. I edited the quest guide and credited you all. thanks. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
