Grammatically, if the gender is unknown, it is correct to use the masculine form, such as "he" or "his"

It is just a safe assumption if you ask every player in runescape and runescape related forums, such as this, most of the poeple will be guys. It is just a numbers game, you will offend less people saying his alot than than her etc
