A Poor Man's Music Solution

Hey. For a long time, I've wanted to get an MP3 player, but have always put it off due to the high prices- and because of the fact that if you buy one now, it will become outdated within a few months.

Anyway, my friend directed me to

this site

They offer you a choice of a "free" 4GB iPod Nano, 20GB iPod Color, or 6GB iPod Mini. Well, they are not actually free- but they are VERY cheap. The company asks that you subscribe to one of its sponsor's services. I subscribed to Rhapsody, and paid $.99 for a month of service. After the first month, I cancelled my subscription- resulting in a grand total payment of $.99!

The other catch is that you have to refer 5 additional people to sign up for free iPods. This was a bit annoying, but without too much effort I convinced 5 people from my school to sign up. Anyways, I have my 4GB black iPod Nano in my hand right now- about 4 weeks after first registering. 8) For $.99, and a small amount of time spent, I now have my (sweet) MP3 player.

Thought I'd share this with you guys, and help out my fellow cheapskates. :D

What part of "No referral links" do you not understand?

If you truely already have your black ipod nano then why post your actual referral link rather than simply http://ipods.freepay.com ;) you woudlnt get any bonus out of it. My guess is that you dont actually have an ipod and are trying to convince people here to sign up under your referral so that you can go on your way to getting one :P

These Matrix schemes are even on their way to becomming illegal in some countries

Get a life mercifull :P

That link is for a friend who I referred. And if you were to actually read the definition of "matrix scheme," you might realize that this is not one.

Last time i checked i do have a life *checks pulse*

I also know what a defenition of a matrix scheme is. I work for the council and do surveys for trading standards so im not a "know-it-all".

In this free ipods thing you have to do an offer to get onto the ladder and then get 5 people below you to do the same. This is a classic example of a matrix scheme. Theres no doubt about it.

And any case its against the rules to post referral links and theres are messages making it clear plastered all over these boards.

Mercifull is right about the Matrix scheme.

This one is a very common one.

No one will give you an ipod for free you may find that you have voluteered for advertising crap to be delivered to your house if you are stupid enuth to give you home address to strangers rather than a po box. youll probably find it more trouble than its worth.

cant they be called pyramid schemes too, or am i thinking of something else?

anyways, i never thought those things would actually send you anything, and i still dont believe it. i wouldnt want to con 5 of my friends into having to find 5 more people either, so i would never do it.
