Taxes, taxes, taxes...

H.R. 3311 if pass will put an government GPS system in your car, rather you want it or not, and tax you for every mile you drive you car.

You do realize the administration has downplayed the idea of that?

yes but it wont stop Congress from passing such a bill.

if they want to tax for every mile you drive they should put in an electronic odometer to keep track of how often you drive. GPS just leads to the government knowing exactly where you are at the click of a button. I think it is a great idea to help with crime ect. but of course its going to get the "those you who give up liberty in return for security get neither" arguments.

Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

There is lots of variables with that. Whether or not it monitors where you're going or if it's only used to track the actual mileage and what not. In any case, as a libertarian, I find the whole notion reprehensible and point it out as another example of Big Brother getting involved.
