September 3, 200916 yr I need help with playing online with the ps3 Im gonna purchase one soon and i wanna play online but i have no idea how to get online with it I know with my current ps2 you use a ethernet cable jack it to the back run it thru your computer and then bam your on Is it the same thing? Beacuse my tv is a decent distance from my computer is there anyother way to get online with it I have wifi P.s I know this is help and advice and it shouldnt go here but i didnt know were to put it if in game counsel discussion or not
September 3, 200916 yr Moved to Tech and Computers as this is more a question that needs technical help. I'm pretty sure PS3s can connect to wifi so all you need is a wireless network at your house and you should be able to connect instantly. September 3, 200916 yr Playstation 3's can connect to the internet through WiFi and it also has an ethernet port on the back. If you have questions on how to set your playstation up to the internet I'd check out this Sony's support page. I personally connect my PS3 through WiFi and it works great and it's really simple to setup.
