Dragon Axe vs Morphic Axe

For pure woodcutting experience, which one is better in the long run?

 

 

 

I have a Dragon axe and I have around 100 Stealing Creation points to use. I have no intention on recharging my Stealing Creation armor for a while so that just leaves unused points.

 

 

 

 

 

Looking to train from 80-85.

I have no figures to back this up but, i suppose dragon would be because of the increased speed at which you gain the logs compared to the XP rate, i think in the long run it would be faster to use Dragon constantly (Including the time it would take to get the morphic axes) but if you have the points already i guess the morphic axe on willows or whatever would be better as you actually have the points...

Basically, if you have the points already, I believe the xp earned from it is worth it. However, I don't think that time it takes to earn the points for this is worth it, as you could have been woodcutting at the same time, earning perhaps same, or more xp, along with some cash profit (depending on what you are cutting). However, overall the best xp you can receive while woodcutting is using the Adze, as it gives you both Firemaking and Woodcutting at a very nice rate, and the Adze is equivalent to a Dragon Axe in cutting rate.

I just bought 5 morphic axes and the charge drains too fast for me to use efficiently.

 

 

 

I can see some one using a morphic needle or butterfly net but not an axe.

EDIT: One load of Maples reduced my axe's charge to 66%

That's what I mean by the time it takes to get the axes far outways the time you could spend getting xp with other methods.

I think your wording (or logic) was bad. Considering that morphic hammers ARE worth accumulating points for, the axe would NEVER be worth it even if you already have the points, because you're taking away from the better tools.

Must've been my wording, I meant to say that the double xp is not enough to cover the time spent to get the points to get the axes.

 

 

 

Surely it's worth it for other tools, but for Axes, it definitely is not.

Sacred clay save money not time. The double exp is pretty much cover up by the time need for gathering sc points.

 

Basically,

 

If: you make less money per hour than the cost of spending an extra hour with training the skill, then use sc;

 

Else: dont use sc.
