ovorette
Curry seeds are great experience per gp spent and so are willows. You definitely need to boost to lvl 70 to plant the bush but you won't need it to pick the berry. I have read that you need 70 to get the experience for checking health, though I don't know if this is true. I use garden pies to plant Calquat trees and while I need the boost to plant, I don't have to use it to get the experience for checking health. But either way, garden pies are really inexpensive. Do regular farming runs. If you truly do not want to be spending any more money than it'll earn you, do oaks and orange trees (there's actual profit in that if you have the strawberries to pay for the orange trees). Anyway, I guess tomatoes are good xp as cheap as it gets (like 7 gp for a seed?). This is how I do my farming runs: -Tree patch Lumbridge, plant oak or willow (or better even) -Teleport Varrock, tree patch. -Spirit Tree teleport (from G/e). Let Elko lead you out of the maze, there's a fruit tree patch next to it. Plant orange tree or better (payment is 3 baskets of strawberries). -Back to Spirit Tree, teleport Gnome Stronghold. There's a fruit tree patch and a normal tree patch. -Teleport Ardougne and do the allotments north of there. Then go south and take the boat to Brimhaven where there's a fruit tree patch. -Bank in between of course, for these 2 points bring electophial, explorer ring and of course seeds/payments. Teleport using your explorer ring and do the allotments north of the cabbage patch. -Teleport using your electophial and do the allotments near there. Keep in mind that you can also plant herbs (or flowers even) when doing the allotments. -Teleport Catherby and do the allotments there. There's also a fruit tree patch for you near the mountains. Also I would like to add that I can advice you to put new seeds in plant pots right after planting a sampling. This saves time (I always have several samplings banked. Samplings will also go to plantable state when banked. Also, if money is an issue you could buy the entire stock of plant pots in Ardougne and Catherby farming stores (not too bad to run and bank) and sell them in te Grand Exchange on a daily farming run. This will get you a couple of extra pennies, be it little. Remember that allotments/herbs take about 1-2 hours, oaks about 3-3,5 hours and fruit trees about 16 hours to mature. Either kwuarm or snapdragon. That's going to make you huge profits very easily, enough to more than cover the cost of willow and curry trees. I would even go for some pineapples and maybe even maples--with regular herb runs, you can still probably break even. But willows and curries at the least. Herbs aren't a guarantee that he'll break even on things like pineapples, though curries and willows, is possible indeed. Still, the extra bit of experience from allotments is under-rated. I raced a buddy of mine to farming 70 from 60, both playing about as much at that time, and we planted exactly the same crops.. except for him not doing allotments. I won with a 200k xp difference. :D Anyway, I think you should just get farming 70 for the diary.. That's why I started my farming runs and now I can't stop it... Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. The highest level things you can. For example Yew trees are quite expensive.. but they are like 7,5k xp. You'd be better off with pineapples, etc. Still, the highest level things = the most xp. Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. skylor12344
right now this is my plan: 20 maple's = 659,440 25 pineapple's = 472, 134 total cost for seeds alone = 1,131,574 this isnt accounting for payments or herb seeds to maybe make a little bit of the money back

That is my preferred way. Anyway, I think Irit seed/herb prices were pretty good at the moment (a seed being less than 1 herb). Maybe that helps to cut the costs. Personally I'd just take the extra time rather than spend 1,1m on a couple of levels.. ovorette
i wanted to until i noticed i only have about 4 days of membership left and i really want to get to my desired lvl before i lose my membership Just curious, why do you care about your farming level if you are not going to be a member? I would train something that would benefit me in the free player arena. You can always train farming when you decide to return to members, no? skylor12344
im not going to be f2p for very long(2/3 days max) and i really want to do my varrock hard diary when i become p2p again
ovorette
Aha, well it seems you have figured out the best way for you to reach your goal based on what you are able to spend in time and money. That's what it all boils down to and only you are the best judge of it.
skylor12344
well i've kind of decreased the price but it will require me to buy more payments than i will seeds
Zaaps1
My Farming guide would be useful to you : . The link is in my sig, check it out. First of all you need to boost to 70 to plant the bush, and I think you need to boost to pick the berries as well. But 1 garden pie covers the whole thing. Generally speaking, I would say maple/papaya/calquat combo is best suited for your level, although you can go higher, there really isn't a reason to go lower. ~It's Super Effective! skylor12344
kk ill check out your guide, right now im doing maple/pineapple/jangerberry and its going to cost me a lot, i really cant afford to do the papaya's because i cant spend over 1.2m and im really pushing it at the moment. Zaaps1
http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Trees If you look, you will see that Maples are 10gp/xp and Papaya are 7gp/xp, while Pineapples are 4gp/xp. Therefore, if you can afford maples, you can easily afford papaya. If you cannot afford papaya, you should not be farming maples. ~It's Super Effective!
