JoeDaStudd
775 socket is pretty much dead now2x2gb should be about the same price as 4x1gb and allow for more upgrade roomtry to get DVI (and possibly HDMI) connections on the monitor.generic psu/case combos are riskyWireless is only needed if you have wireless and no means of running a network cable in. Whats your budget and what do you want this PC for? Laura
I wouldn't buy the monitor if it only has VGA and USB ports. Did you buy an OS?
Alex_Ewan_1
I will be connecting PC to a wireless network so I guess I need a wireless card! If 775 soket is dead what should I get? I already have the OS, Vista ultimate. My budget is £700 including monitor. I will use the PC for gaming such as cod, RS and sims 3 and maybe fifa. Foooman
I will agree that 775 is dead seeing as Intel has moved onto both 1156 and 1366 sockets, but that doesn't mean that you will be able to get exceptional performance out of a build based on 775. You will just have very little "futureproofing" in it. I tried to piece together an 1366 build for you, but it proved near impossible to get it with a 22" monitor and not skimp completely on the video card. Here's an 1156 build I've come up with.
