Dire_Wolf
So i heard that AVG free version was good and so i downloaded it and used it for a good period. I guess over time a new antiprogram called "Avira" have taken over as best free anti program so my questions is:1) Uinstall AVG right? (Just doublechecking)*Install Avira*2) When did Avira take over as the best free anti program?3) Is it a new software or have it been around for a good period? Sbrideau
It has been there for a while. Although it's not Avira that took over, but AVG and Avast that have fallen to those antiviruses that are not good anymore. AVG has trouble detecting viruses and has more false positives than Avira. Avast, only has one problem they have to correct: False positives, [cabbage]loads of them. Oh and also the way it deletes viruses, since it only deletes part of them. Avira still has false positives, but is by far the one that detects the most viruses between the free antiviruses. Here, simple explanation from my experience and small reseach I do periodically to stay updated on what the good antiviruses are.
Downfall
Even though AVG and other free alternatives are great, I decided to step away from the crowd and use something new! There's an antivirus that's been released by microsoft, and it's free as well. From my experience.. It's awesome, would recommend it to anyone :) DownfallSurreal Founder - My RS Blog
