[need confirmation] Fishing Guide Tweak

Featured Replies

When an ibis catches a fish for you, you gain 10% of the xp you would get for catching it yourself; i.e. a tuna gives you 8 xp, while a swordfish gives you 10. I haven't tried this with other familiars, since I can't yet use a lobster and don't have any crabs, but if anyone else wants to verify with other familiars?...

Hi, jedigrant,

First off, thanks so much for your submission! :^_^: We really appreciate it when users contribute, and it's AWESOME that you did some in-game research on this!

I did some research of my own, and got results very similar to yours. With that said, I did encounter some inconsistencies with the experience gains that would make any sort of experience table impossible in the Fishing guide (i.e., sometimes I got experience when my beast-of-burden caught a fish, and sometimes I didn't.)

However, in the skill boosts section of the Fishing guide, there is currently a note stating that Summoning familiars "may give a small amount of fishing xp for the fish they catch."

If you are still interested in seeing the results I got, I would be more than happy to send them to you :) Again, we appreciate you taking the time to let us know about this, and we hope that you continue to contribute in the future.

If you need anything else, please feel free to send me a PM.

Thanks,

- SerpentEye
