Has any one else played it? I'm not sure if the full version is out yet but I was sent the demo. It is increadible edible.

Got it, finished it. Bloody awesome. Seems to be a tad unstable but i think that's a video / windows issue since a lot of my games suffer similar effects :(

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And I prefer the British using the Red Coats. And my only strategy is having the majority of my deck relating to resources before anythihng else.

I played the demo, and it really didn't seem as good as AOK. For one, since in the time of the new world, everyone had gunpowder, and everyone had cannons, and everyone was basically having the same kind of army (with different names for soldiers) so the demo kind of wasn't that fun because it wasn't like in AOK where you'd have elephants fighting against priests, and longbowman fighting cannons...It just seems like your fighting the same civ over and over.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2nd, there's some wierd things that confused me. Like the lack of storage pits so the resources would just stack on...Among other things that seemed really unnatural when comparing with other RTS. I'm all for change but I liked the systems and units in AOE and AOK better. Much better.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So after playing the demo, I think I'm going to wait at least a few months before dishing out the 50 some-odd bucks to get it. It looks pretty alright though. (I'm a humungous fan of the AOE series btw.)

Yea, that was the big thing to annoy me in the Demo. You only had to two Civs so you were litterally fighting the same stuff every single time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think the best thing AOE3 has going for it is the home city concept. It brings A LOT of stragegy into multiplayers games rather than just rushing.

 

 

 

Been a long time coming that has been and I'm glad this system actually works.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The number of different decks is HUGE. And the only real chance you have is the play with your best available deck.

i tried the demo, but i was no good at it. i never was really good at aoe2 either, but i enjoyed playing it. i might try aoe3 again sometime, maybe when some friends get it and we can get some lan action going.

AHHHHHH you guys sux. I haven't gotten it yet but when i do your all goin down. When i saw they released i about killed myself celebrating. I still have AOEIICE and was waitng for this. These games are the best pc games ever. GLAD to know i'm not the only fanatic. :lol:

I like the AOE series too and will hopefully get AOEIII Christmas :wink:

I got it and beat it. It was much better than the other AOE's. Had a differnt type of style this time...

I downloaded the demo a while ago but havent even installed it yet, the game looks pretty cool but if its not to my tastes I don't want AoK memories to be tainted :P

i went to wally world yesturday and they didnt have it yet :(. i asked the guy working when it was supporst to be there he said the 21st, which was a day before i went to buy it..... he said it might be here monday or wensday. i was just hoping i could have gotten this week cuase i had a 4 day weekend. o well ill find time to play it.

many people are having problems connecting to ESO and through the IP games, and quite a few people have posted about it at the agecommunity forums, and some of the people there have said that ESO is having problems with the multiplayer experience....

wow i hate walmart. but i finally got the game!!!! is the online play fixed or whaetever?
