Skills training

Featured Replies

I was doing some thinking, but I kind of need some help to finish my thinking...

1) Which is the best path for RC? Nats until a certain level then ZMI to 91? Double Nats to 99?

2) Anyone know any xp rates for RC?

3) How much is herblore to 99?

4) Which would be the best path to take for it?

5) Anyone know any xp rates for herblore?

6) How long would Summoning average? I'm talking about time to gather charms, and then to make the pouches (ignore shards and secondaries) (I'd most likely combine dusties and slayer until I can efficiently kill waterfiends, then mix in fiends with slayer)

7) Would I end up getting a combat or two to 99 before summoning?

8) What are the average xp rates of making pouches?

Thanks!

You are thinking waaaay too long road for right now. Just train the skills you like to do, and if they get to 99 then -Bang!- you're there.

Don't think, "lets train summoning". Think, lets have some fun by killing some monsters on a slayer task while watching The Office on Hulu.com, all the while picking up each charm I find. If you think like that, you will have a much better time.

Uh, yeah, I think by this point, he has a fairly good idea of what he's getting into. It's kind of rude to tell somebody they're not ready to have a goal.

I think the Runescape Wiki potion calculators (found here and here) should help you with herblore--they'll give you some idea of how much you'll need to spend. Herb & potion prices fluctuate on a daily basis, so the best potion one week may not be the best potion another week. I recommend making potions in batches of a few thousand (exactly how many is personal preference) and paying as you go through farming, Miscellania, battlestaves, etc. It's possible to blow millions and millions to buy lots and lots of supplies all at once, but the longer you wait between the buying and selling, the less control you have over how much you lose.

I don't remember potions/hr though, sorry...

For runecrafting, nats are considerably less impressive pre-91. Last i checked, double cosmics, deaths, and double astrals were all better than nats. You should check out Zarfot's runecrafting guide on the official forum, Quick find code: 98-99-696-58530389. The exact prices he uses in his calculations are a little out-of-date, so the profits may be off a tad, but it should give you everything you need to know.

You'd probably want to go nats until 59, cosmics until 65, deaths until 75, ZMI until 82, then astrals until 91. ZMI can be up to ~45k xp/hr at high levels, with some profit. The rest are all in the 20-30k xp/hr range, roundabouts.

No idea on summoning, although I would think you'd get 99 strength at least just from killing w'fiends with the SS.

Hope that helps.
