It's worthwhile downloading it, as you can get all your addons to work with it with this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6543?src=api It's just a bit better. If you mean for Win 7, there is an easy way to activate them, can't remember how, either and addon or a patch.
