Vinnie14
I have Wanadoo 1mb Wireless Broadband in my house and i currently have my pc connected directly to the modem through a cable and my fathers pc using the wireless connection. Now his laptop has a network card, and a wireless adapter connected to it, its all working properly and even has an excellent signal strength. but it cannot connect to the internet. all computers are using xp SP2 and the laptop wireless adapter is a Belkin High-Speed Wireless G Notebook Network Card. Any ideas why it wont connect to the internet such as my pc not allowing the connection??? thanks in advance Vinnie RSN: Civic_TypeR :)

Guest andyizcool
Have you been getting Limited or No Connectivity? I know Windows XP SP2 sometimes has a network problem aquiring the IP and if that's your problem you need to download a Patch to fix it.
Alduron
I had the problem with my laptop and pc... turned out that my routers firewall was blocking out my laptop... I had to configure my router to let my laptop into the network... What I did was access my routers settings to tell it that the new laptop was part of my in home network and to recognize it. Once i did that i had to restart the laptop and all was well. Good luck with yours.
Rhys
Update on the situation..? Try connecting the laptop through an Ethernet cable, if that works, it may be a problem with WEP or some other wireless security feature.
