Alright, so i recently bought 20k ice bursts to get ~94 mage and 80 summ, and there's a few questions i need.

 

 

1. What mage bonus is sufficient? Like is +70 good enough for 95% accuracy? Can I switch out for prayer gear?

 

2. Where do I log out? Or do I tele?

 

3. If I do die (11m lost =/) How fast will it take for me to get my stuff back

 

4. Can I burst 20k casts in one go, or can I go in increments, if so, which intervals would be good for me?

You can logout by the ladder if you want.

 

If you have a friend who will help you, you could get back in probably 4-5 minutes.

 

I'd do it in increments - 20k casts is a loooooong time. I'd take maybe 3-4k casts at a time.

No. You need almost max mage attack stats, or you're going to be spending up to 8gp/exp for something you could've done for 6gp/exp with Ahrims, Mage Ammy, Mitre, Master Wand, Mage Book/Zammy Book, and some other good gear.

Errr no i am going to disagree with the above poster. I used Void....VOID!@!@! to Burst and i managed to get the same ammount of Exp/Cast as that of a Friend wearing Infinity. Sure at times he might get slightly better exp than me (10exp per cast at most), but that really doesn't make a big difference. Its 10k exp an hour more. Really nothing to worry about.

Infinity...? Ahrims is far better than infinity, and Void Mage isn't all that great compared to near max mage bounes. I got down to a constant 5gp/exp when I was just going at it. If I had really concentrated, I could've easily knocked off another .2 or .3 by not killing the last 2 lobsters with bursts.

Ahrims is better than both yes, but it doesnt make all that much difference. In the end you need to remember that the repair costs for Ahrims catches up to you. In the end the person using Infinity/Void pays the exact same ammount as the person using Ahrims.

I wasn't really worried about paying an extra 200k or so after spending roughly 94 mage. What I was worried about was the speed and how much gp/exp I'd get out of bursting. 200k (having to pair the top and bottom a few times in your house) would only add around .01gp/exp to my average, max. Void does have its uses though; people who like to camp there for 15k+ bursts at a time. Void doesn't degrade, so you can last as long as your runes or p pots do (and some people get really elaborate with their prayers, so they barely use anything at all).

If I may direct you to this awesome AOW guide. The guide itself is pretty good, and somewhere on page 4-6 there are some tests that prove over 80 mage attack is unnecesary. You can use cheaper armour like mystic to lose less if you die, or you can focus more on prayer/range defence/weight bonuses or something like that. You could even try void, you can only get ~50 mage bonus with that but it might even be better with the accuracy/damage boost (idk what it does exactly).

I have nothing to prove it with except my word (please, no comments on that -.-), but with void i achieved much better results than i did using both Mystic and Infinity.
