Living rock caverns

I was wondering if anyone could point me to a guide or just explain how to efficiently use these mines. Information on experience rates and profit would be nice too.

 

I kinda want to know if my aversion to mining is still enough of a reason not to get all 90+, or if mining has been made that much more bearable I can actually try to get all 90+ now

I've been using it quite a lot lately...

 

Firstly, you wanna mine just the gold ores, they're a lot faster and a lot more profit.

Secondly, you want to get on an unofficial world for the caves. The best world is 84 and you benefit from a lot of people being there because you get attacked less and the more people mining a single ore, the longer it lasts. The people using these worlds also use the clan chats mining golds and mininggolds (i think?)

 

Xp rates and money!:

Its about 45-50k xp an hour, and if each gold ore is 65xp and priced at 446 gp you're gonna be getting abbout 320k profit per hour.

 

I reccomend you use world 84. Once you get down into the mine, go south of the deposit box and there will be a lot of people there. Theres two gold rocks, one on the south wall of the mine and another south west of the deposit box. All you have to do is mine the same ore as everyone else, its really easy and the ores are pretty close to the bank.

I just have a sneaking suspicion that one of the next elite diaries is going to have "Mine some rune ore", and I need 5 more levels but can't stand mining.

This is accurate. I'd like to mention that a Lava Titan is most likely better than a Yak (it's better than a tortoise, at least), but you'll want to test that.

The above confirmed - I'm not 80 mining myself, but I fish a lot in the caverns and talk to the miners ;)
