Training prayer with alter

Featured Replies

umk well, im sitting with 31.5k dragon bones right now. I was going to wait till I had all 48.1k but they keep going up and I'm not going to fight with the GE and other people. What should my inventory look like and how should i go about running them?

thanks :D

There are several methods available that you can use:

USE GILDED ALTER WITH 2 BURNERS!

Are you gonna run the bones or are you going to telly between a bank and your house?

For running the bones and using someone else's altar (i.e. World 31)

I used a terrorbird, but you can use whatever BoB/Summoning monster you have access to help you carry bones. Fill the BoB with bones and then fill your inventory with bones and wear whatever gear you can to lighten yourself. With terrorbird, this will allow 40 bones per trip resulting in approximately 10,000 xp per trip (if both burners remain lit). You can always carry two marrentil in case the house does not have lighters lighting the burner for you already.

For running the bones and using your own altar

Use whatever BoB you have access to in order to assist you in carrying bones to your altar. Fill it with bones and then, in your inventory, carry a tinderbox and two marrentil herbs (they last about 3 minutes so carry 3 if your think you'll run out of time). Fill the remainder of your inventory with bones - about 23 or 24 bones.

For tellying between a bank and using your own altar

Fill your BoB with bones once again and this time, equip a dueling ring and carry house teleport tablets in your inventory. Use the inventory similar to the paragraph above (minus one inventory slot for the telly tabs).

Hope this helps! Good luck!

It helps quite a bit, thank you.

so do you think ill need 4 herbs if i use a turtle?

guyz.gif

depends if you're using your altar or someone elses.

The time you lose looking for a house will probably equal out with the amount you'll lose having to light your own burners.

Using someone elses is the easiest.

Also, it is bery easy to run to the yanille bank and back to the house altar, so look for someone who is having a party there.

give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever

Well I've got my own, just never used it hah.

For the banking part, it's better to build a trophy hall thing to the left of your alter so you can put a glory up on the wall right near your alter, so instead of wasting time with duel rings you can easily run to the glory tele, then bank use your tab and repeat process, the glory has unlimited tele's.

Then use yours, it's quicker. Teleport to your house with air/earth and law runes. Teleport to castlewars to bank. Bring a stack of airs/earths, a stack of laws, a tinderbox, two marrentils, and the rest bones. Wear an air/earth staff and a duel ring. Wear a glory, too, in case you forget to grab a duel ring after it breaks.

PS: here's a tip. When you offer bones, offer-x and choose a number greater than 41 (I do 66). Then, you can use the "Take BOB" option on your familiar menu when you have 18 spots open, and you will offer all your bones without interruption.

ooh that last bit is helpfull, I just got 70k ish exp 73/95 prayer haha wooo... thanks everyone.

Useing Dustrunes and a law for home tele, then mounted glory for edge bank, pretty slick :D!

On the subject of teleporting to a house, you have 3 good options:

1. Dust runes + Law Runes: Very cheap and time efficient, but you lose 2 inventory spaces

2. House tele tabs: Quick, but 1 space lost and is also quite expensive,

3. Slayer Ring teleport + House located in Polly: Rather high requirement, and slow, but each teleport only costs about 30gp. No inventory space used either, if you equip the ring.

Your choice.

Having my own, I personally use dust/law to tele, using my mounted glory to get back to Edge.

bladewing, thanks for that tip. I've trained to 83 Prayer without thinking that I could do more than an inventory at once. Ignorant me...

Slayer ring to summona and run to house is probably best one can do both for cost and speed. It needs house in desert. This also wastes no inventory space as you have your house tele equipped.
